Late Night with Seth Myers

  • SUPER IMPORTANT! You must have a 1iota account to apply for tickets. This should be done in advance because tickets go quickly and you will lose your chance if your don’t already have a 1iota account set up beforehand. Sign up for an account here.
  • When the site finally goes live, you can apply for a certain date. At that time, you are placed on a waiting list. Just because you were able to apply, that does not mean that you have confirmed tickets. The Seth Myers show is a bit different than the Ellen show, because with it, you are placed on a waiting list after you apply. You will be contacted at least two weeks before the date that you requested to let you know if you have confirmed tickets or not. If you don’t hear from them and there is less than two weeks before your requested date, you do not have tickets. Don’t worry though, you may be able to attend via standby. Keep reading for tips on that.

Standby Tickets:

  • Line up on the morning of the show. It forms on 49th street between 5th and 6th avenues. It starts at the Late Night sign, and heads towards the NBC Marquee. Tickets are handed out at 9:00 AM, but the line begins to form well before that.
  • The standby line takes a long time! I personally spent about 3 hours waiting in it. Make sure you bring a battery pack to keep your phone running for that long wait. I use this Anker Battery Packand I have always had great experiences with it.

  • There is no saving spots. This is heavily enforced. If you leave the line for any reason, you are back at the end.
  • You need to bring a government issued identification with you to get your standby ticket.
  • Guests must be 16 years or older to attend. Even if you are with an adult, guests under 16 are not permitted to attend.
  • Be aware that although you may get a standby ticket, you are not guaranteed admission. Tickets are basically just a number in line. After you get yours, you come back at a specified time to check in. At that point, they reps have a better idea of how many confirmed guests will not be attending that day. Because of this, they will usually say something to the effect of, “guests with numbers 1-8 will most likely get in. Guests 9-30 are most likely not going to get in.” This is based on how many confirmed guests have checked in. It is pretty accurate. However, somebody may have something come up last minute, so it is possible that somebody 9-30 for example could get in still.
  • Consider bringing something to sit on while you’re in line. You can’t bring the chair in however, so make sure there is room in your car for it. I recommend this one: Small camping chair
