Getting tickets to Ellen’s Game of Games is a simple application process:

There are two separate processes for applying. There is one process to be in the audience, and a separate process to be a contestant. Please read the entire article carefully before applying.

Applying to be in the audience:

Getting tickets to Ellen’s game of games is similar to getting tickets to the Ellen Degeneres show. You will find a calendar which shows days that you can apply for.

Here is the process:

  • Go to Ellentube.
  • Find an available day on the calendar, indicated by the word “open” appearing under the date.
  • Click the date which you want to attend
  • Fill out the application

After you apply, if they are able to fulfill your request for tickets, they will contact you directly. Check your emails often. If you do not hear from them, you do not have tickets. Applying does not guarantee that you will receive tickets, even though the day showed as “open” during the application process.

Be aware that they will not reimburse you for travel expenses, even if the show is cancelled. Also be aware that all guests must be 14 or older.

Applying to be a contestant:

  • Ellen looks for energetic people, who are are funny, daring, and not afraid to get their hands dirty (or to fall into pit, run around blindfolded, etc). If you think that you are that kind of person, you may be just who the show is looking for!
  • Participants from coast to coast are encouraged to apply.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to participate.
  • On the contestant application, you will be asked for your social media pages. Although it is not required, we recommend that you fill these out. Ellen and her staff have been known to check people out on social media before. Who knows, Ellen’s staff may just stumble upon your page.
  • You are required to upload an image of yourself to apply. Make sure that it is a high quality photo.


Contestant applicants will also need to submit a “story.” This is your opportunity to get their attention. Your story should answer questions like:

  • What is unique about you?
  • What games do you enjoy playing?
  • Who would you like to have on your team if you were cast on the show?
  • What would you do if you won the huge prize of $100,000?
  • What special skills do you have that would set you apart?


Helpful tip:

Phone batteries die quickly in long lines. Be prepared with a battery pack like this one on Amazon. After my phone died in the Jimmy Fallon standby line, I realized that this small investment was worth every penny.
