Looking for tickets to the Dr. Phil show? Read all the tips and tricks below to find out how, then click the blue image below to get to the right place.
The Dr. Phil show generally films two episodes in one session, so if you get in, be prepared to sit for a while. It is exciting to see more than one episode! Here are the things to know about the show:
- The booking process is not a live booking session, meaning that you will not be able to see if the date that you want is actually available still or not. The website hosts update the available dates regularly, but be warned that just because you see a date listed as available, does not mean that it actually is.
- Applying for tickets does not mean that you have tickets. A representative from the show will contact applicants who were successful in their applications. Do not make plans to go to the show until you know for sure that you got a ticket
- The show films Monday’s, Tuesday’s, and Wednesday’s.
- The whole experience lasts from about 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM, start to finish.
- You must be 16 or older to attend. Guests who are 16 or 17 must be with an adult, and must prove their age via an official form like a birth certificate
- Obviously there is a security check, so don’t bring anything that will present an issue
- No food or drink is permitted
- Dress nicely, in solid, dark colors
- You can reserve tickets for up to 4 people
- The total wait time is over 5 hours, so be sure to bring a Portable battery pack to keep your phone charged while you wait. I recommend this one.
- A note about cell phones – You’re not allowed to bring them into the studio, so at a certain point in the process, they will ask you to surrender them to the staff. If you are not comfortable with this aspect, leave your phone in the car
- The studio is quite cold inside, so be sure to bring a warm jacket
- Between tapings, you leave the studio for an intermission, then you are brought back in and arranged in a different order. Right about now, you will really want that warm jacket
- When you check in, you are given a color coded card which dictates where you will be sitting. Be sure that you are nice to the staff!
- Your episode will not usually air the next day. Actually, it can be several months later before it shows on TV. Be sure to tape your episode with a DVR recording device
- There is a small chance that you will be turned away for the second episode. It happens sometimes.
